LTJ BUKEM
Just who is LTJ Bukem? Ground breaking DJ? Inspirational musician? Record label entrepreneur? When the man behind those wire rimmed glasses writes his job description just what does he put? Or maybe he just writes 'Renaissance man for a digital age'. In truth LTJ Bukem is all of the above.
As a teenager, Bukem regularly checked out the local soul clubs and legendary rare groove day parties, during this time he also ran jazz funk bands and played around on the turntables, however it was in 1988 that Bukem first realised that DJing could offer a full-time career.
In 1990, LTJ Bukem got his first big break - at 'Raindance' booked to play in front of 10,000 people.
Soon after, Bukem ventured into the studio and one of the most influential DnB Record labels of all time was born – Good looking Records.
From there came the timeless classics - Music, Horizons, Demon's Theme and Logical Progression to name just a few…
The start of the 21st century saw LTJ Bukem continuing on his extraordinary musical odyssey with his long awaited solo album 'Journey Inwards'; a diverse album of drum 'n' bass, soul, downbeat and house tracks that opened the eyes of those that had no faith and warmed the souls and inner belief of those that did.
On top of this he has continued the 'Progression Sessions' series of live mixes captured on CD, featuring lush performances recorded live in The USA, Tokyo and Germany.
LTJ Bukem will continue to spread the gospel of the Good Looking sound - setting the main stages of the world alight with his stunning DJ sets. Dose is one of New Zealand’s top producers with his tunes receiving DJ support from the likes of Andy C , Pendulum, Ed Rush & Optical, Black Sun empire, Klute, The Upbeats, Bulletproof, State of Mind, Concord Dawn, Universal Project, Nphect, Mindscape, Vicious Circle... to name a few...

The first label interest arose when Optiv from "Cause 4 Concern" signed Dose’s "Derailed" and asked him to complete a 12" release for Red Light Records. Since then Dose has been hard at work in the studio and secured a number of releases on labels such as Revolution, Syndrome Audio, Red Light, Cyanide, Citrus, Nightfall and notably a long awaited 12” release on Klute’s “Commercial Suicide” which is set for promo release in late October. Numerous tunes are already on full release along and the awaited Commercial suicide 12” is set to promo in late October. With various solo & collaborative tunes and some remixes on the way, Dose will no doubt be packing loads original tunes as well as an onslaught of DnB from New Zealand and around the world.
